Have you ever noticed that the scripture Proverbs 18:21 is often misquoted. This scripture is quoted as "life and death are in the power of the tongue" but in fact the scripture actually says - "Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit." Why would it matter which word comes first? Because every word, in the word of God, matters and there is a reason for its placement. In this case God is showing us that we are inclined to speak death before life.

Ask yourself, are y0u speaking negative over your situations and your life, your expectations and even your goals? Or are you speaking life like God intended. Just because our flesh wants to speak negative only means that we need to be more purposeful in our speach. What we speak into our lives is what we belive. Above all we trust ourselves more than we trust anyone or anything else. We either speak our demise or we speak our victory. Ultimatley it is up to each of us.

I encourage you to use the word of God as medicine. The doctor says to take med 3 times a day, morning, noon and night! So find a verse that speaks to your life situation, set an alarm with that verse and say it three times a day. Watch God show up in the midst of your circumstances through the truth of his word that is never void! Speak outloud so that your mouth says it, your ears hear it, the enemy hears it and your brain retains it. Change your words Change your life!
