Have plans. Execute. But, don't expect them to work.

Plans are a start - not an end.  A plan establishes a clear objective with actions intended to achieve the objective.  Marshal Helmuth von Moltke the Elder stated correctly:

"No plan survives first contact with the enemy."

Get used to it.  Don't be disappointed when your plans disintegrate.  Expect it to occur.  Plans serve to get you started.  Adaptation and perseverance are the ultimate arbiters of achievement.  Will you give up, or will you learn and persist?

Success is not for the weak.  Success requires overcoming failure after failure.  Success requires figuring out what's working and what's not working and having the intestinal fortitude to forsake the broken and embrace the strong fibers of hidden progress that lay in your experiences.  Success requires you to be strong and resilient.  Success requires that you retain an unflappable belief that the attainment of your objective is imminent.  Are you prepared for success?

Time is your most valuable asset.  Do not squander your time on misadventures.  Do not partake in what you know is wrong.  Instead, look at your time as capital to be invested.  Are your current investments paying off?  If not, make smart moves and reallocate your time.  Be sure to celebrate even your smallest victories.  Let this celebration be your fun. This is the path of righteousness.

When you stand atop your mountain, you will be grateful.  You will look and see the masses of people that forced themselves into mediocrity through inaction, pessimism, and short-sightedness.  These people aren't bad people.  Don't be mistaken.  These people are folks that chose to drink from the wrong cup.  There is hope for them.  But, realize now that these people, although you love them, you cannot control their destinies.  You are control of yourself and no one else.  Climb your mountain.

You are not on this World to be understood.  You are on this World to self-actualize - to become the best version of yourself - and there is always more work to do.  Don't aim to earn brownie points.  Aim to earn respect through purposeful action.  Your outlook and attitude are yours.  Keep them positive.  You are a capable individual that will achieve your objectives.  I believe you.  Now, believe in yourself and move forward with intention.  However, don't expect your plans to work.  Godspeed.
