How to Learn the Guitar Fretboard in 24 hours

Trust me. I was calling BS too, but these fellas aren't blowing smoke. I'm no spring chicken. I picked up the guitar in my thirties, took some lessons, and learned to play a few songs. Then, like many, I laid it down for a few years. Bam! Now, I'm 44 and still haven't mastered it. That's okay. Apparently, this old dog can learn new tricks!
I have a book problem. There, I said it. Admission is the first step to recovery. Recently, I decided to break up my day by picking up the guitar when I take a short break to relax. I glanced over to my pile of books, and there sat "Guitar Scales Workshop: Transform the Beginner in you into an Absolute Guitar God." I recall buying this book a few years ago. Never used it - until today. Paint me impressed.
In the first few pages, the authors promise to teach you the fretboard in 24 hours (with a disclaimer for absolute noobs, of course). "Yeah right," my inner voice murmurred. Little did I know, it wasn't just a pitch. These folks are for real. Fast forward an hour later, I pretty much got it! Now, I can't wait for the rest of the book. Maybe I will be an "Absolute Guitar God." I'm confident this book will certainly make me better! Highly recommended.
