War With Iran Won't Make America Great Again

The boom of bombs continue to thunder in the Middle East. What's new? At the behest of Benjamin Netanyahu, the United States has been dragged into war after war after war. The American people are fatigued. Wars are no longer declared by Congress as directed by the Constitution but, instead, are entered carelessly by authoritarian presidents with little regard for American lives, treasure, or consideration of facts. Stand down, ladies and gentlemen. Let's try peace.
Despite Netanyahu's cries of wolf that have rung hollow throughout the decades, the US Intelligence Community has repeatedly articulated that Iran is not close to having a nuclear weapon - most recently declared by Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard in March of this year. Netanyahu was among the primary antagonists to peace espousing the false claim that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction (WMDs) that resulted in Operation Iraqi Freedom. The US Military still lingers in Iraq.
After 9/11 - an attack where Israelis were conspicuously filmed dancing in joy on a nearby rooftop while the towers fell and the perpetrators were largely Saudi nationals - the United States spent 20+ years in Afghanistan replacing the Taliban with the Taliban. Osama Bin Laden - a wealthy Saudi national - was trained by the US to oppose Soviet Russia in Afghanistan to give Russia "their own Vietnam." That worked out well. Didn't it? Is there any end to this insanity?
In 1953, the United States used the CIA to overthrow Iranian Prime Minister Mohammad Mosaddegh at the request of Winston Churchill on behalf of British Petroleum in response to Iran considering nationalizing the oil supply. The Western powers installed the Shah of Iran, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi - a brutal dictator - who was later overthrown by Iranians in 1979 and was replaced by the current government. Then, the US installed Sadam Hussein in Iraq and funded him to go to war with Iran. Iraq lost.
How many times would you stick your hand into a hornets nest? It's not intelligent to repeatedly engage in actions that are known to cause harm. Moreover, it's insane. Netanyahu is akin to one of those dolls where the string is pulled, and the doll says something. The doll only says one thing - just like Bibi. Reflect on the past several decades. Is it intelligent to continue down the same path? Is there a better way? Do you want more destruction? Give peace a chance. God, please, bless America.
